Exterior
The EQA has a striking style that’s bound to turn heads. It’s both sporty and luxurious and has been intelligently designed with aerodynamics in mind.
As with every vehicle in the Mercedes EQ range, you will be greeted from the front with electrifying styling highlights, including a glossy blanked-off radiator grille, LED high-performance multi-beam headlights and an eye-catching full-width LED light bar. A front camera and parking sensors are also located at the front.
Moving around the side of the vehicle, a choice of large, EQ-specific alloy wheels are on offer, plus smart electric folding wing mirrors and blue EQ badging.
At the rear, the EQ light band spans the width of the vehicle, and the reversing camera and parking sensors are discreetly fitted.
There are three ways to open the boot; either through a button on the driver’s door, by pressing the Mercedes badge on the boot itself, or through the car keys. Once opened, the boot reveals 340 litres of space – which is ample for storing various items of luggage and shopping.
Interior
Inside, the vehicle feels very Mercedes, with exceptional levels of comfort and connectivity that you’d expect from the premium manufacturer.
In the rear, there’s ample headroom - and if you choose the panoramic roof feature you will be flooded with light which further adds to the sense of space. Backseat passengers will also benefit from an armrest and cupholders, air vents and USB charging ports.
The luxury cabin comes packed with technology, and no matter which trim you pick you will get a decent selection of kit. Dual 10.25-inch displays come as standard with the impressive MBUX infotainment system. Through this you can connect up to two phones at a time, meaning one can take care of phone calls and one can control the music, for example. The sat nav display is fantastic and comes with optimised route planning to help maximise range. You will also be able to view EQ stats and vehicle settings to keep up to speed with this important information. The digital display can be controlled via the touchscreen, buttons on the steering wheel or via voice command, which you can activate by saying ‘Hey Mercedes!’ followed by your request.
Range, Efficiency and Charging
The Mercedes-Benz EQA has a great real-world range of up to 264 miles and is capable of rapid charging up to 100kW, which means the battery can be boosted from 10 - 80% in around 40 minutes if using one of these rapid public charge points.
In terms of running costs, the EQA has been optimised for range and efficiency rather than pure performance. For the EQA 250 model, you should get around 3.4 miles per kWh in everyday driving conditions.

The EQA has a raised driving position meaning you’ll feel high up whilst cruising – giving you an optimal view of the road ahead. It offers a smooth and dynamic driving experience with light steering. The electric nature of the car means you needn’t worry about switching gears, and you’ll benefit from the instant response and torque that comes with it.
