An all new SUV concept from Volkswagen is set to make an appearance at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.

Its is the latest design from the German manufacturer, which it claims delivers the agility of an all-wheel-drive car with the benefits of a convertible.

The carbon composite middle section of the roof is delivered in two removable halves, which can then be safely stored away in the boot for a unique top-down experience.

It is an interesting design from the manufacturer, with the car maintaining a 4x4 stance on the bottom, but the low, aerodynamic roof of a coupe.

The T-ROC is powered by a fuel-efficient 184 PS turbodiesel engine, connected to a seven-speed DSG gearbox and a 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system.

This means the car can produce 380 Nm from 1,750 rpm, a 0-62 mph time of 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph. Fuel consumption stands at 57.6 mpg, while 129g/km of CO2 is emitted.

It is versatile too, with three driving modes - 'street', 'offroad' and 'snow' - allowing drivers the maximum possible control in any environment.

Furthermore, the car comes with a range of technology, including a 12.3 inch colour display tablet which allows for configuration of car settings and other information systems.
